Weddings & Receptions at Pengenna Manor

Whether the plan for your big day is a grand affair with an equally grand guest list, or a simple get-together with a handful of your closest friends to share in the moment, the Manor makes an ideal venue.

Set in its own valley and surrounded by acres of lush countryside and woodland total privacy is ensured.

Tie the knot in our feature summer house with views down over the valley while your guests look on from under an avenue of apple and cherry blossom trees, under the archway of the 450-year-old front door of the Manor with your guests sat out on the front lawn, or inside the Grade II* Manor House itself in the historic surroundings of the Drawing Room.

Celebrate your union with a drinks reception in the walled garden on the front lawn of the Manor, in the Drawing Room inside it, on the Ha-ha Terrace with its sweeping valley views, on the patio terrace in the Marquee Garden, or relax with your friends and family amongst the mown paths in the meadow leading down to the river. Or, if you wish, in all five locations!

For your wedding breakfast and evening party, make use of our purpose-designed marquee garden and hire in any kind of marquee you like. You could have a traditional 'big top' marquee and dress it for an English summer tea party with trestle tables, vintage china and miles of bunting.

Or maybe you would prefer a modern steel-framed marquee set for a grand banquet with crisp linen, silver cutlery, crystal glassware and candelabra.

Perhaps you would like a more relaxed celebration with giant tipis, hand-made wooden benches and tables set with wildflower centrepieces and paper lanterns strung up amongst the trees. Or you could have your heart set on an eastern-inspired party night with a collection of open-sided safari tents, huge day beds, floor cushions, and flaming torches.

No matter what your dream, our on-site wedding co-ordinator can work with you and your own suppliers, or ones we have recommended, to pull together a very special day that you will never forget.

We now also offer some great on-site accommodation. Inside the Manor there are four characterful bedrooms sleeping up to 8 people on a per-night bed & breakfast basis, including a luxurious Art Deco style bridal suite. In the river meadows in the valley below the Manor we have two and a half acres of camping fields which are available for free for you and all of your guests to camp for the duration of your wedding. The meadows also have vehicle access for caravans, campervans and cars. See the Accommodation section below the photographs (further down the page) for more information about all of our accommodation.

Accommodation

Four beautifully restored, character-filled bedrooms are available inside the Manor for your exclusive use during your wedding.

The Bridal Suite is a lovely, bright, spacious and south facing room that has been decorated in a glamorous Art Deco style with original period furniture and items from the 1920's collected by the family. A luxurious brand-new en-suite shower room with his and hers sinks and huge double shower has been added this year at one end of the Bridal Suite in a matching Art Deco style.

The other three new bedrooms (two good sized double bedrooms and one smaller twin bedroom that can be converted to a double) have shared usage of the spacious family bathroom. Each room is individually decorated in a simpler style in contrast to the Bridal Suite, with period Victorian and Georgian furniture and other antique family pieces blending seamlessly with their original architectural features.

The rooms are available as an optional extra on a per-night basis for up to eight guests with a sumptuous breakfast of fresh fruits, cereals, yogurt, toasts and preserves and various options on cooked breakfast using local meats from our butcher served in the Drawing Room downstairs each morning at a time of your choosing.

You and your guests can also camp for FREE for the entire duration of your hire of the Manor in the two and a half acres of river meadows down in the valley below. Just two minutes walk from the Manor down through the trees these secluded meadows could help you fulfil your dream of a mini festival wedding with all of your friends on site for the whole weekend. It also has its own separate vehicle access allowing cars, campervans and caravans to be parked up.

For the rest of your guests there is a wide range of fantastic accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets in the area near the Manor. From cliff-top luxury hotels and seaside inns to holiday cottages, B&Bs and budget hotels there is somewhere to stay for you and all of your guests. Contact us to find out more.

We had a truly wonderful day. The Manor and surrounding grounds looked beautiful. After a lovely wedding at the nearby parish church in St Teath we popped down to a local beach for some photos while our guests made their way to the drinks reception. After drinks and canap├ęs on the front lawn we had an amazing four-course dinner in our marquee and then partied the night away with a fab disco! We would highly recommend Pengenna Manor to everyone.
