We’re teaming up with Woodfired Canteen to cook up three tasty courses at Pengenna Manor to mark the turning of the spring season!

Woodfired Canteen, famous for their long banquet tables, are cooking up three tasty courses to mark the turning of the spring season!

Come hungry and enjoy big plates under the old Cornish beams of Pengenna Manor’s Cowyard Barn, made even more special by Event experts Out of the Ordinary who are in charge of the stunning spring decor!

Woodfired Canteen will cook with fire and smoke and serve a three-course, seasonally inspired menu so you can make time to chat away with family and friends – plus you’ll have the chance to meet Woodfired Canteen’s Event chef Ben Green and pick up some tips for your own home cooking whilst exploring the nature and history of Pengenna Manor. Children are welcome! The menu is outlined below.

 Starters

Burnt sweet potato butter, flatbread from the fire, pickled radish, dukkah

Mains

Slow smoked shoulder of lamb with oregano salsa verde and pangrattata

OR

Woodroasted squash with wild garlic salsa verde and pangrattata (for non-meat eaters)

Sides

-Canteen roasties, gremolata

-Charred gem lettuce, spring peas, garlicky mayonnaise, radish tops and crispy onions

-Roasted carrots and fennel seeds, agro dolce onions, pickled chilli

Pudding

Dark chocolate and olive oil cake, honeycomb and sumac raspberries
