Choose from one of four locations for your drinks reception
Where will you want to have your first drink as a married couple and begin the celebrations with your family and friends? No matter if it’s sweeping valley views from the main garden Drinks Terrace, the historic setting of the Walled Garden in front of the Manor, the old Cowyard, or indoors in the characterful former Stables, we have the perfect set of options for you.
Option One:
The Walled Garden
Soak up 800 years of history after your ceremony and hold your drinks in the walled garden to the front of the manor house. We are able to welcome up to 100 guests into this area, whilst if you have a smaller number, the walled nature of the area makes it a perfect and intimate choice too.
Option TWO:
The Drinks Terrace
The drinks terrace in the main garden is the perfect place to spread out and enjoy the views across the lawns and the valley beyond with plenty of space for well over 150 guests. It’s also the perfect spot to have lots of lawn games for guests to enjoy.
Option Three:
The Cowyard Barn
This 200-year-old building has been restored and re-purposed to create a gorgeous permanent undercover space – perfect if there’s inclement weather on your wedding day or you would like to make the rustic charm of this unique space a real feature of your day.
Option Four:
Inside the Stables
With plenty of room for up to 100 guests the Stables is a great space to hold your drinks reception with it’s characterful old wooden beams (some still with birds nests!) and lovely old stone walls. If you’ve had your wedding ceremony in the Cowyard Barn you can have your drinks in this space whilst we turn around the main barn ready for your wedding breakfast before we call you back over there.
Option Five:
A combination of all!
Each of our weddings are completely unique, so we’re here to give you the option that works for you and your guests. If you’d like to use a combination of the options above then we’ll be able to talk you through what might work best for your big day.
