We have a lovely selection of locations to day 'I do' to the one you love. No matter if you're wanting your ceremony outdoors under an avenue of apple and cherry trees, in a 400-year-old walled garden, or indoors in a cosy barn bursting with rustic character, you'll have the moment of your dreams. The nine options include:
Option One:
The Summerhouse
Bespoke wooden summerhouse designed especially for outdoor wedding ceremonies at the end of an avenue of heritage apple and cherry trees. The summerhouse enjoys sweeping views out over our valley to the river below. Capacity: 150 guests sat outdoors on chairs on the lawn.
Option Two:
The Cowyard Barn
Former 200-year-old cowshed with a fantastic vaulted beamed roof and beautiful rustic stone walls. The Barn has a stepped floor down through its length, perfect for large wedding ceremonies ensuring everyone can still see you tie the knot. Various options are available here for where the focus of your ceremony is and which way the guests face. Capacity: 150 guests sat indoors.
Option Three:
The Walled Garden
The garden in front of the main Elizabethan wing of the Manor is a beautiful, traditional-country-garden spot to say 'I do'. You and your fiancé can stand under the arch of the original 450-year-old front door with guests seated in a semicircle on the lawns facing inwards, or in front of the rose arbour at the bottom of the lawns with guests sat in rows cascading down the garden. Capacity: 80 guests sat outdoors on chairs.
Option Four:
The Stables
Our other indoor ceremony space, the former Manor stable block has been fully restored with a completely authentic feel. The original cobbled entrance leads to a smart new wooden floor, with old wooden shutters, and the bare stone walls all add to the amazing atmosphere inside. Fill the space with candles to complement the festoon lighting. Capacity: 65 seated.
Option Five:
The Drawing Room
The old Drawing Room in the Elizabethan wing of the Manor. A restored 100-year-old parquet floor, big stone mullioned windows flooding the room with morning light, and an original fireplace with wood burning stove set the scene. Capacity: 20 guests seated.
Option Six:
The Rose Arbour
Our newest wedding ceremony location, the Rose Arbour is located at the bottom of the Walled Garden in front of the Manor House, offering sweeping views over the ancient walls and out over the valley. The arbour is planted each side with two different types of sweet smelling roses which clamber up and over it. Alternatively your florist can attach their own design. Capacity: 80 seated outdoors.
